History

Originally established in 1979 by local artist Jack W. Muir and Jon Olson, Kalispell Art Casting, Inc. served artists and sculptors for more than four decades before closing in January 2023. Recognizing the importance of preserving fine art bronze casting in Northwest Montana, renowned Bigfork sculptor Eric Thorsen and his wife, Cyndy, established Kalispell Art Foundry, Inc. in January 2023, retaining experienced craftspeople formerly employed by Kalispell Art Casting. Today, Kalispell Art Foundry carries that tradition of craftsmanship forward while introducing innovative technologies and efficient, less-invasive lost-wax casting techniques. With a skilled team and full-service foundry capabilities, we proudly work with sculptors, artists, businesses, and organizations throughout the United States and Canada to bring their visions to life in bronze.
